Bond-filled caves...like squirreling away acorns for the winter, such a folksy tale way of putting it, ac.
Thank you for making me think about the wealth distribution and where bears are in that distribution as opposed to bulls.
Can we imagine working people, even those Texas janitors that recently secured that 50% wage hike, as bullish?
Now, they can participate in (as opposed to just working in) the economy (by trading in all their bonds for hot-tips in the stock market). With 50% more earning power and disposable income, there is no need to go buy lottery tickets. They now have the power to make unfettered investments and become rich and affluent like the bulls (whose caves are larger and purportedly filled with stocks).
Now they have hope.
Oh great. Here come all the bears out of their bond-filled caves once again.
Very volatile, depends on weather, rate and bust of more lenders

Haha... you have Doomster to thank for that one.
I'm going to go back and wallow in my t-bills while I watch the stock market go up in spasms of rage.

That's wonderful!
I also like "going to the pig" (short for piggybank) from a dryfly post in the more recent thread.
What wonderful imagery we have today...
High rig-a-jig
Visiting the pig
Follow the bond
Follow the bond
Follow the bond . . .

Calmo:
Think of Badger in "Wind in the Willows," safe in his burrow beneath the great oak, diligently clipping his coupons. ;>)
