For the Holidays

wow, that gave me the chills. what an amazing combination. beautiful

Three minutes of transcendence. Thank you.

Amazing that there are people that good at anything isn't it ? Wonderful world where that's true.

Only my deep and abiding love for CR and Sasha can make me listen to Christina. But that, too, is what the holidays can be about. Peace on Earth to men and women of goodwill, is how the poet put it.

Today's report on Boston has been released on both my blog and our new website. History has shown us that Boston is a great indicator of what will happen here in California.

Tanta - forgive me but can we at least admit Christina has a great set of pipes and sang that song very well ? Or at least a) she wore clothes and focused on the music and b) consider the alternatives in terms of other over-endowed blonds who just pretend to be singers. It could've been a lot worse.

DaveL, every time the camera left Sasha to show Christina, a crime was committed. I mean, a lapse in judgement. I mean, a matter of taste about which grownups remain genially tolerant because 'tis the season. Christ, I hope Santa is watching me now.

Touche - had the same though. O.K. I conceed.

Tanta, I tend not to agree with Christina's choice of songs. However I enjoyed her performances of 'Beautiful' and 'Fighter'.

I thought the camera work left something to be desired here. I'm not sure why they didn't stay on Sasha, and overlay Christina on the side - that type of presentation works well with two performers.

I would have enjoyed being there!
Best Wishes.

Tanta, OT: occasionally I receive "research" on banks and lenders - and sometimes I'm not sure if there is anything worth posting. If you'd like, I could send you some of the research, and you could let me if you see anything worth posting.

Best Regards.

Interesting commentary on this duet. The visual performance of the wonderful figure skater Sacha (showing up on my miserable 4x5 screen somewhat broken and blurred with occasional breaks to Christina singing more or less without the technical difficulties associated with the visual. It's not my kind of music, but it's reasonably clear and clean unlike the blur on my screen, you know? So, this hybrid form of entertainment favors the vocalist because my ears rule in this instance.
Maybe I need new glasses, but this business of seeing music performed, this improvement of watching a video of the music --this is lost on me. Music should be heard not imagined/projected/buttered up with stupid pictures.
Ok I am an old fart.
