CR,

Good post.

Carola Hoyos, article author, and the editors of Financial Times didn't do a good job of explaining the program or its many participants. The oil statistics effort extends far beyond OPEC data as seven international organizations are involved.

The first effort was termed the 'Joint Oil Data Exercise'.

Note that the joint data initiative was previously known as the 'JOINT OIL-DATA TRANSPARENCY INITIATIVE'. And the original web site was:

Guess which data is and isn't available thus far? It's not OPEC data, by the way.

Thanks for all that MG. You are a work horse wonder.
I would guess Venezuela.

Reserves are only educated guesses. At best.

Shell reminds me that they are less eric: restatements (atleast two) of proven reserves forced the resignation of 2? CEOs in the last few years.
It pays to be inside.
