Next year - Bankruptcy filing for dummies

When is Calculating Risks for Dummies going to be released?

I'm waiting for "Patsies For Dummies."

LOL. The magazine cover indicator has been replaced by the "Dummies" indicator.

How about "Intellectual Whoring for Dummies?"

Backruptcy for Dummies books already exist:

Powell's Books - Personal Bankruptcy for Dummies 2ND Edition by James P Caher

But great comment Smile

How about "Shorting the Financials for Dummies?"

If they had had a Collateralized Debt Obligations for Dummies, we might not be in this mess!!

"Walkaway for Dummies" should complete the trilogy

"Bankruptcy Filings for Dummies"

Btw, someone saw this financial collapse occurring. It's no coincidences that the bankruptcy laws were overhauled a couple of years ago.

Ramen -
I believe that may be coverd here:
Real Estate Investing for Dummies
by Eric Tyson, Robert S. Griswold, Robert S. Griswold

Pretty good for an industry that "never saw this coming". I'll also add that FASB creating L3 was along those same "surprised" lines.

Ciao

you guys should see how many listings there are on this national liquidators site for FL boats from 18 to 35 feet!

prices are sticky hi here also.

Geez, one would think that if you are a "dummy", foreclosure investing and flipping houses are not your cup of tea.

Guess what? The primary author Ralph R. Roberts, is a REALTOR who "writes about Real Estate and Mortgage fraud on a daily basis at www.FlippingFrenzy.com".

Takes one to know one, I guess.

Redundant?

They could just wrap all this stuff into "Being a Parasite on Society for Dummies"

I don't know which of the posts is the funniest.

Thanks a lot guys.

I really don't know how they could publish a book entitled "Flipping Houses for Dummies" without putting Casey Serin's face on the front cover.

Oh. Does Aviation for Dummies have a chapter on helicopter piloting?

Tanta, I read "Pasties for Dummies" - but that could just make me a guy.

The irony of the whole thing? Anyone who actually does anything recommended in the book.. is a dummy. It's seriously a waste of space on the shelves of Barnes & Noble's.

Er, um.

When you typed your post I read it that way.. not actually sat down and flipped through a book with the same title.

I'm not that bored - or desperate - yet!

Carry on.

Unsympathetic,

I think your version would be a much more interesting read.

How about Copper Mining for Dummies OR maybe Vando for Dummies?

This is cool. The same authors also have a book out called Foreclosure Self-Defense For Dummies. Selling books on foreclosure investing and foreclosure self-defense: it's like selling guns to both Israel and the Hamas. Very, umm, practical.

Same authors...same content.

The timing and naming are unfortunate. But, the dummy series books are often well-balanced no-nonsense introductions to the respective topics. Sure, the coverage is shallow, but that is pretty much expected. They simply provide a quick and informative intro to the subject of your current interests. Their approaches are often more conservative" than some "get rich quick" books.

I am waiting for the DIY Home channel on cable to stop showing old reruns of Flip That House and replace it with Foreclose That House!

How about some foreclosure reality show.

I doubt authors have ever lost money by telling people what they long to hear. Just do it and clean up.

Here's a title that may sell books- "Flipping dummies for houses".

Way, way OT, but here's a favorite quote from the late S.J. Perelman - "I don't know much about medicine, but I know what I like".

Writing books For Dummies, for dummies

Yes... The real money is in the writing of books for dummies.

ErikR, yours is the best: a meta-book that seems to lead to an infinite regression.

How about:
