Don't Get Lost . . .

A right hand column of recent posts by author could help.

To be fair, a list of post headlines suffices for that.

If it sounds remotely like a mortgage - or whimsical Excel tapestry - post.. it's probably Tanta. House prices? Hey, it's probably CR.

LOL Tanta...man...sprawling is not the word for it...I love it...you took up half the western United States with that post!

Let's face it...blogs, newspapers...they are all too small to contain you.

Regards,

Interesting, not home prices but gasoline:

Paying for gasoline easily tops the list of economic woes facing families in the United States, according to a survey on how changes in the economy have affected people’s lives.

About 44 percent of survey participants said paying for gasoline was a “serious problem” for them. Across all income levels, the cost of gas was the most frequently cited economic concern. The price of gas nationally averaged $3.60 a gallon on Monday, according to the Energy Department...

Maybe home prices weren't on the questionnaire.

Gas prices top concerns over jobs, health

Damn, your format isn't going Scoop on us is it?

I think we need...
"SHOCK AND AWE - 75bps"
to get those pessimistic consumers to feel wealthy and buy more gas and cheap crap from China with their new found wealth - $600 handouts.

Didnt we vote down the "read more"? What is this Zimbabwe or something? Smile

Not until they come "detain" you, C&C.

Noooo... not the "READ MORE" format. Those are horrible! Please please please tell me you're not going to do that stupid move.

Gold appears to be on a laser-guided path to $700.

$800. Look at the Privateer's long term point and figure chart:

Some people are more excitable than others Wink. Uberexcitement

Tanta and CR:

May I suggest that you reserve the "read more" feature for very long posts, say more than 1000 words (1.5 standard size op-ed articles).

It is a lot faster to scroll down or skim a post that I don't want to read than have to wait for the "more post" to read.

Yeah, I second Greg Weston's request. Please reserve read more for only really long posts (like ... ahem ...)

I'm still waiting for a picture of the Mortgage Pig through the python.

I detest the "Read More" style blogs.

If I wanted to read less, I'd go read a different blog.

I second Riddler - I too detest "Read more" blogs.

Re: Read Moore

Have a little faith in our host guys. CR took the poll, found that the vocal portion of the commenters were mainly against it and decided to institute something anyway. I tend to think he's considered the pro's and con's, let us input concerns, and will produce something that will satisfy all but the most narrow minded.

You have a good point, sdtfs. And, after all, it is CR's blog - he can do whatever he wants.

What I want to see is a CR style graph showing number of visitors before and after the change. And, I want shaded bars to highlight whenever Tanta posted one of her belovedly long posts.

Actually, I'd be interested to hear what defines success for CR & Tanta with regards to this blog. Is it number of visitors, ad & tip revenue, recognition, or is it reading the comments and realizing that people actually understand and appreciate what they're writing?
