Good morning, CR. You are up early today. I think that is probably a bad indicator in and of itself.

Early start. Wonder why?

Really, the market could be worse, and it will be. If you're long today is a gift that every stock isn't off 15%. You're getting a window to liquidate here, before you get really crushed.

Do you think a limit order for FRE at $20 is too high?

Bernanke just wet his pants and cut the FF rate 75 bps

Somebody in a previous thread was spreading a rumor that Citi may be declaring chapter 11 bankruptcy. I was wondering if anyone had any information about this or is it bogus?

Fed cuts 75 bp......

time to tee up physical gold purchases

I'll start worrying when BofA uses the last of their liquid assets to purchase PowerBall tickets.

European Market Update

75bp emergency cut and futures really didn't do all that much.

If the fed cut doesn't prevent a steep dropoff today, does that mean that the emperor has no clothes?

While I could say Fu**** FED, it would not matter because they are making me money. In the long run, they will inflate like hell to prevent a correction. Either way, the FED has chosen to support current inflated asset values and walked away from currency stability. I think that the FED has chosen the Argentina and Japanese FED methods to combat and try to prevent a deflation. We will end up like both with the correction anyway.
