If it makes you feel any better, I emailed CR since your last heckle and asked for advice. I would have emailed Tanta as well, but I didn't want to bother more than one of them with my insecurities.
Perhaps you should email CR and/or Tanta for advice as well. Perhaps they don't need someone to help them play the role of policeman. I'm confident they are fully up to the job, especially since there are two of them, it is their website, and they are both exceedingly competent.

In the MSM (as well as textbooks) the words "mother" and "father" are in the process of being replaced.
You'll be seeing "partner", "maternal" and "paternal" but "mother" and "father" are not in line with progressive concepts.
Too many children today NEVER have a father married to a mother (much less even present in their lives) so using a term like "father" can be hurtful if not all too often misleading. Likewise "mother" is an elusive concept as one can have two legal mothers (in Massachusetts at least) so that term can also be misleading.
New, benign terms, are needed in the MSM and in government school textbooks to reflect this new reality. That this development further marginalizes the original concept of "marriage" and "family" is simply a fact to be accepted.
Hence the use of "Maternal" Merrill. Coming soon will be the phrase "Paternal Time", the TV show "Someone in the House Knows Best" and the movie "Partner Dearest" about an abusive household "guest".
