Percentage doesn't mattter since our input/output numbers are totally screwy due to the incredible trade deficit with China which is being held up by the Chinese playing very sophisticated currency games.

Tracking this via "pro rated" dollars, pretending inflation isn't great the last ten years is insanity. Inflation where it counts has roared. The bite energy takes from a middle class budget is as great as in 1982. Trust me on this, I have paid bills since 1966 and I remember very well how badly stuff bit. And here I am, about to retire and it is biting my *ss hard, thank god I have a forest to cull to heat my house!

Who else is performing detailed analysis on the impact of fuel prices on the economy?

I haven't found much of interest in terms of details.
